Dolpo Trekking

The western remote and isolated corner of Nepal which is a geographical part of Tibetan plateau is called Dolpa. Most of this region was closed to trekkers until 1989. Dolpo region is divided to Lower and Upper Dolpo. Lower Dolpo is permitted with low permit fee but for the upper Dolpo you have to pay per day $50 for trekking permit. Lodge and guest houses are not introduced and you may arrange all camping accommodation. Dolpo is lying in shadow of Himalaya having unmatchable natural beauty and cultural heritage. People of Dolpa follow Bon religion, language is closer to Tibetan. The most beautiful Phoksundo Lake is main attraction of this region and Num-la and Baga-la pass are another challenging attraction of mountains.

Dolpa is only the district unconnected by land transport, we should take airplane to reach there and it is not regular because of remote and small airport. Road is under construction to connect it’s headquarter in few time
