Aryan group of people from India moved towards north and Mongol people stepped down towards south and on the lap of Himalaya these 2 groups met together and settled as Nepali.

Nepal is birthplace of Lord Buddha so there are a number of followers of Buddhism. About 81% of the total population follows Hinduism. We can find a good co-operation between the two religions. Islam, Christianity and a few other religions are also in practice. There are about 125 cast/ ethnic group living in Nepal and 123 different languages are in practice. Hundreds of cultural festivals are celebrated in a lively way which are rare and very interesting specially for the western society. You can enjoy participating in such traditions and festivals.

Nepal is also famous for its beautiful architectures. Pagoda architecture is one of the beautiful and stylish building style in the world which has been mostly used to build temples in Nepal. Stupa and Shikhara architecture also very famous in Nepal.
