Great Himalayan Trail has been designed all along the Himalayan highland for those trekkers who are interested to do high altitude trekking, who want to enjoy an adventurous holiday and can afford time and cost.
Many trekking destinations are being the victim of modern development and their durations are being short in Himalayan region. Some of them have become too much commercial and you can’t get the natural feeling when you go for trekking. Great Himalayan trail can offer you real adventure and experience of the Himalayan highland.
This trail was designed all along from Nanga Parbat of Pakistan to Namche Barwa of Tibet crossing Pakistan, Bhutan, India, Nepal and China. It is 4500 kilometres long in total but complete route but it is not possible to trek in complete route now. You can do a guided trekking inside Nepal which is 1700m long route.
This trail starts from Kanchanjunga in the east of Nepal and ends at Darchula in the far west region of Nepal. This trail is classified as upper trail and lower trail. You may choose between them as your interest and physical capacity.
This route passes along Kanchanjunga/ Makalu-Barun/ Everest-Rollwaling/ Langtang-Helambu/ Manaslu-Ganeshhimal/ Annapurna/ Dolpa/ Rara-Jumla and Humla region.
